my friend working in Greathobbies told me this is a new brand, and it's coming to usa too, but the bringer is not doghouserc, it might be another one, ohio model . the guy told me it's a high grade brand with all best material, and obviously the model designed and developped by some nice European pilot. He doesn't know if this is an European brand, his boss knows. I got the website from google,www.egaircraft.com, but it's not ready yet. my friend told me to wait, and he said it will be a surprising to me. I think EG will be another famous brand on market.maybe. price not so high if you see what they use on it, but I don't want to get it from canada. |

DawghouseRC orginally brought EG aircraft to the USA. OMP now carries the full line of EG planes, including the 50cc Raven, which I believe they have in stock. Very, very nice airplanes. I have been flying the Yak54 and the Yak55sp for two years now. High quality, great flying airplanes. DawghouseRC still has a few 50cc Yak55sp's in stock, in blue scheme only. As well as a 71" Yak55sp in yellow and blue. OMP carries Version II of the Yak 55sp, as well as the new 85/100cc Yak 55sp.

Just thought I would chime in here. EG is in the process of coming out with a 50cc mx2 and the thing looks good. Im supposed to be getting one for a partial build thread / flight test soon. I will keep you all posted on how it goes. Here is a pic of the prototype

Well, I scrambled Sat. night and got her done except for the decals and a couple of personal touches I want to add. Had to carve out the cowl quite a bit to get the mufflers (DL-100) and plug caps in. It's a pain to attach the cowl, though. I have to mount one side of the muffler, plug caps off, stuff the other muffler into the cowl, slide the cowl half way, bolt the muffler through the cowl cutouts, put the cowl on the rest of the way, then fish for the plug wires and set them on the plugs. Not a job I'd like to have to do at the field. But it does fit. After adjusting the needles a bit we maidened her and she flies great! Before we flew we checked the CG and it came out tail heavy. I was surprised because it was designed around a DA85 which is quite a bit lighter than the DL100. I was expecting it to be quite nose heavy. I had 2 batteries just inside the turtle deck so I removed one (it wasn't connected cause I don't have the switch for it yet) and it balanced right on. I guess I'll put the second battery on the CG. I got rid of the plastic wing bolts because they wiggled in the threads of the blind nuts and replaced them with metal bolts. A very well belt ARF, great hardware, loooong arms and flies nice. Hopefully it will stand the test of time. Here's what's in it: DL100 Hitec 5645 ail & ele Hitec 7955 rudder hitec 425 throttle 42% optical kill Futaba 2.4GHz R617FS rx 4600 6v NiMH battery MPI switches corvo1.JPG corvo2.JPG corvo3.JPG |

Congrats Udaman! I built one of the first ones here in the states when we brought over the Ravens. I have always loved the Ravens and this one flys as good as some of my fun fly planes! What I mean is that it has very aggressive control authority, pretty much zero coupling, and tons of power to weight on the 3W85 motor. I was going to take a bunch of pics and some video until I had a slight misfortune with it. Motor quit on me during a harrier and I pancaked it hard on the runway. Busted out the gear but I've already got it all fixed back up. Now I'm trying to figure out why the motor is quitting on me. I hate motor problems! by the way I'm using the stock nylon wing bolts and find then to be pretty solid so far. I might replace with metal socket head bolts though just to make assembly quicker. For more info on the Raven check out the link below. http://www.ohiomodelplanes.com/egraven/index.htm Also, I had no balancing issues putting the 3W85 with pitts muffler by Bisson in the nose, rudder servo in the stock location with pull-pull cables, and batteries in the center of the radio tray. Plane is pretty nuetral with this setup. I would think with a DA100 on the nose it would be pretty nose heavy actually. |

MIke, Pancakes are for breakfast not airplanes! Too bad, but I'm glad you were able to fix it.
I can't wait to get the engine fully broken in and really bang her around! You did a nice job on this one. ![]() Uduman | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Found out why my engine was giving me fits. Was clogged with small pieces of rubber from the tank. Not sure what is going on with the tank but I'm replacing the tubing and stopper with new. Hoping to fly it later this week.

Just a little update here, the MX-2 arrived today so I will be starting a seperate thread on the build of this thing. Just from a quick glance here it looks like EG will be making a name for themselves with the quality and fit of everything. Very clean lines and the covering job looks like a pro built competition airframe. i will have pics of it later when I start the build.
