Default reports on JTEC 2.5m Extra 300?

Interested in making the 2.5m Extra 300 my winter project with a MVVS 58 prosport as a powerplant.

Any opinions on that combo or reports on the 2.5 flight characteristics, it's build process or shortcomings?

Cheers,

Andrew.

Not sure how that motor will work out, but I do know that the Jtec planes are quality planes.
I am re-covering a brand new 3.2 meter extra, and the construction is SOLID. very much like a kit built plane more than an ARF. VERY NICE KIT!

I have one of the 2.5 Jtec extras that I am going to be putting together this winter. I was originally going to put a DA or DL 50 in it based on the recommendation by AL. He said that if I used the Carbon gear and switched out the wing tubes for Carbon that I should be able to get the plane to about 18lbs with a 50. I feel that this is very doable after looking at the airframe and at that weight it should a very nice performing airplane.
