There was a nice set of plans done for a 100cc Extra 300. They are available through the ama plans service and I think fancyfoam had a nice precut foam package and canopy for it.

Well, you're not telling where you are, so when talking cheap, shipping costs are alway a concern. I have a Fibertech 1/3 scale Cap 231EX ARF (fiberglass fuse, balsa covered foam wing/stab/rudder cores) that can go for $200.00. I am in Los Angeles area.

Send me your e mail addy...My dad and I have built from Tom MIller plans a 35% Staudacher that flies SWEET!!!We have built 3 35%ers and two 40%ers and I am TELLING YOU!!!!These planes come out LIGHT and are a very durable airframe...There are lighter airframes out there but NONE of the ARFS out there have the combination of light weight AND ruggednesss that this airframe has...I can send you a file with the prints and you can scale them to your desired size..A few things here..Building from plans is time consuming and not necessarilly cheaper...Canopy and cowl are available as are cores from ...oh crap...I cant recall...but they are available...but the cost with shipping will be 300.00 to 350.00 for cowl, canopy and wing cores...then you need to buy the Bals sheet and skins...and the landing gear(TNT)save some money and weight and go with 1/16 sheeting...or 3/32.....NOT 1/8th...weight penalty is severe!!!FOLLOW THE PLANS...Paring off weight is for when you have more experience...Vacuum bagging the cores will save 1 pd and using 1/16th sheeting will save anotther pound...Carbon Fibre tubes, and landing gear will save another 1-1.5 pds...and add some costs...I have a built 36%er RTF with 3W120(old style) for power,JR Radio and servos for 1800.00Digital servos and JR8103 radio included......Airplane is a great flier...we have too many planes...if there is such a thing!!!So i neeed to make room for the new Carden Yak(37%),Aerotech 300 Extra(42%)....The price for the 35% Staudacher is WAY less than it would cost you to build/purchase..Whichever way you go good luck and keep us informed.Mike SSE Mi.
