A friend of mine ordered the blue and white version yak 55sp from dawghouse rc for $325.00 with shipping $65.00 for a total of $390.00. Later on that day he emailed him and told him that he would have to come up with another $25.00 for shipping. He said paypal figured the cost at $65.00 at the time he placed the order. My friend that ordered the plane said he would pay the $390 but not an additional $25. Sounded to me like the guy at Dawghouse rc wanted to make an extra $25 on the shipping. Its too bad because i was gonna order one of these also.

What company that has a good reputation is going to throw it away for $25. The shipping calculators are simply "Estimates", and in no way is an accurate representation of what the actual shipping may be. I worked at a print shop for 6 years, and we shipped everything from boxes that weighed 2 Ounces to palates that weighed 2500 lbs. And we would ALWAYS have to get actual shipping rates after the "estimate" was done on the day we were going to ship. Shipping rates change almost daily with gas prices, and such. And when a guy is blowing out an airframe at pretty much cost, why would he eat an additional $25.

If you think I make a dime on shipping come look at the bills. 90% of the time I will get an additional charge down the road for shipping on the bix boxes. So lets not go there with this as you really don't know. Also I was going to even offer a meet in Dayton when I visit my mom, But I am tired of this crap small companies get shafted everytime you post crap like this without knowledge. Also he was not the only one this happened to, however only you complained and you never even ordered one. | ||||||||||||||||||
