ive just purchased a 2.6 yak and the local comp arf rep said a single 8711 can be used on each surface. now that 8611's are down in price, im going to use the suggested set up. the previous owner ran a da 100 and said the only change he would do is to run tuned pipes.

Depends alot on how you plan to fly it, with the servos. I fly a 2.6 Comp arf Yak w 2- 8611s on the ailerons, 2-8611s on the rudder, & 1 8611 on ea elevator half. That said, i flew IMAC against others this year w the same plane that had only 1 servo on everything.(8711s) They only fly IMAC & dont 3d with it, so 1 servo gets them by. Personally i'd go w the 2 servos in the wings myself, and if you had to skimp, one on the rudder. I like cans myself, MTW-75s on a DA-100, Mezlik 28-10 gets the job done here in NC.........Gene
