Sorry I don't have any tips for you, but I've been toying with the idea of building one of these myself. How do you like the kit? Are the materials (balsa, cowling, etc.) pretty good quality? Thanks, Pete

RCU has about 5 build threads on the plane. I'd say go there get some tips but continue a build thread here. I'm thinking about getting Ken-H 's P-51 and putting a DL-50 in it.

Mark Trent and just built 2 of those they are fun nice change from the 40%ers.... All Futaba buget servos and a DA 50. Mine has a straight pipe and Mark has a Bennett muff. Great planes tons of fun. Make sure you check the retract mounts and reinforce them with some epoxy and micro Balllons. the plates are not glued in well. test fit and test fit retracts in wings and everything else just follow instructions. I used du bro hinges on rudder and elevator. CA hinges have a habbit of comming out over 120 mph. Robart on wings and flaps.Good luck Jason

http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_1158439/tm.htm One thing to note: If you want some real Scale peices you have to hurry! www.aerotechmodels.com is going out of business on 1 Jan 2009 (this is Aerotech WWII not Aerotech Giant Scale)

I have been a Mustang lover all my life and the dream of a four bladed prop is still just that unless you have a reserected Byro-Drive. If you want to fly it stay with the two blade for flight and the four blade for static! I have used Byro belt drive, toothed belt drive and gear drive. Stay with direct drive 2 blade and enjoy flying.
