Default lil J Boo's daddy got a new Carden

Hucksters, me and my buddy have been looking a long time for a good used Carden airframe. We looked at a lot of so call pro-built planes ( junk), but at last came across this plane in MD. 40% Carden Giles, we named it Phat Bastard. The plane flys perfect, stable and will do all the 3d you want to. The 3w 150 has plenty power for 35 pounds of pure flyin fun. Check out the pics.

As the proud father of the "lil boo I want to say thanks for posting the pics FWB. During the next photo shoot I'll bring it down close for a little 'huckin on the deck'.

I cant understand how a heavy, overweight, high wing loading airplane, flys so good. One would think that with 2200 sq. in. of wing and 35+ pounds it would fly like a pig, but it doesn't. I can slow the plane down to a crawl and dump full up elevator and it just stands straight up! No tip stall or anything. At speed it tracks very very well. I haven't found a bad habit yet. We dont understand why but, it just works. Great flying plane.

Dennis Gergits has apparently always been a good student. It is obvious with all of his designs that he has done his homework and came up with something that will fly well even IF it is a little heavy by some standards. The beauty of a CARDEN is the cause of its' extra weight is the built in durability. THese planes will take more beatings than most any other and keep on flying. You can rest assured that you have a great plane! Until I personally see another manufacturers plane stand up to and last as long as a CARDEN, then CARDEN wil remain #1 in my book. This explains why I own/fly a 40% CARDEN CAP, have a NIB 40% CARDEN CAP kit and a CARDEN CUDA kit.

I would however like to get my hands on a Tony Russo DALTON AVIATION 260..Haven't built one yet, but been hearing great things.

Yea man.
Cardens are awesome, but Russo's planes aren't no slouches either.

That's my next purchase... period.
Not bothering with anything else.

Hey Jay,
I have the AM 33% yak. I think you will like the bigger brother. Mine is a great flying plane.

Sounds like you're finding out what most every Carden fan finds out.... On paper, they may seem heavy, but in the air they are a dream. My Extra weighs 42 pounds, but it flys like it weighs 24....

Yep! I ran the numbers (35+lbs and 2200sq.in.of wing)before the first flight and was kinda skeered that I might have bought an over weight pig but after the first flight all my fears were removed. The plane handles wind like its nothing at all. It will also fly as slow as my AM 33% Yak at 23lbs. I am now a proud owner of a Carden Giles G-300 and the coolest thing of all is that nobody else has one at the field when I fly. Is the Giles going to come back like the extra 260? I hope not 'cause I like having the only Giles G-300.

I don't know if it's making a comeback or not... It might be a little, since the MX-2 is out. It's basically a Giles with an Extra wing I believe.
