I am building one and have run into a problem. I have been using 4-40 turnbuckles on all the surfaces. But the right elevator has to have a 7 in long or 8 in long turnbuckle and cannot find one. Has anyone else run into this issue? thanks kenneth |

The kit comes with complete hardware. You just need to crimp and soldier on the one end. I have used the stock gear and it works great.

I know but I decide to upgrade to turnbuckles on everything and would really hate to not have everything the same. I have read your thread about yours and like it. On mine i have done some changing with the covering to make it look more finished. I might have to put the stock linkage on it but would really not want to. This is what is in it now. Da 50, Fromeco regulators and Lithium ion batteries, hitec 5625mg digitals on ailerons, 5645mg digitals on elevators, and a 5945mg digital on the rudder and Futaba 10c 2048 2.4ghz radio. and This one link is killing me.

just get a 4/40 all thread, cover it with a carbon fiber rod, and put two nuts on each end to hold the rod in place, then put on your ball links. Done deal!

thats what i thought. I know what i am going to do instead of using the stock gear so that i can get threads on both ends. SleepyC i am going to do what you said that was my back up plan if i could not find any turnbuckles. Thanks to everyone for there help. kenneth |

Got in another flight this morning before heading off to work on the evening shift. I still need to flight trim it but for the life of me I can't get this thing to do a blender. It wants to reverse the spin and roll out when I start to center the ailerons...Any ideas ???

Just a heads up.....CHECK YOUR STABS !!! ![]() ![]() ![]() I was just out re-tuning my engine for 50:1 (finally off of break in oil) and noticed while cleaning the Reactor up that the stab is loose on the left hand side as seen from the rear. I used Gorilla Glue and you can clearly see where it cracked the length of the stab along the fuse, top and bottom. I'll probably see if I can make it sturdy enough with triangle stock glued against it and the fuse. That was one of the few things that I didn't like about the Reactor was one: the one piece stab, and two: the way it is attached to the fuse by just the thin balsa sides of the fuse and nothing in the middle of it !!! This is after about the eighth flight..the last two or three I've been doing a few high speed walls and so far this is the only problem that I've found and hopefully the last for awhile...
