Go to page 2 and scrole down, there is some info about it. I would like to see some pics of the inside. What do the glue joints look like? Is there an assembly manual and is it any good? The bottom wing is 2 piece but what about the top wing. I am very interested in this since my Hanger 9 Extra 260 lost an argument with the ground yesterday. |

Look on youtube and they have one flying around on the nitroplanes channel. Looks like a sharp plane from the review and I'd probably have one but I hate ultimate bipes... Now a Pitts I would do...

thanks i watched those yesterday looks like it flys ok but my question is really about quality i know AW and such are obviously better quality but is the nitro planes airframe gook enough quality to warrant the investment. in other words will i have to beef it up everywhere or strip it and redo half glue joints to keep the thing from flying apart.

Only one way to find out...order one and do a build thread!!! I got the 100cc Sukhoi coming in hopefully Thursday. When I get everything else (servos, engine, ect...) I'm going to do a thread on it and try to get vid of it flying, but that will be a while...

I have one Ultimate flying. Some of the hardware could be better and I did some reinforcement on the body and installed flying wires on the tail. The mounting of the cowling was also modified. Else I really like this bird, flies very good. The video are made from my first and second flight. And for those of you reading norwegian can read my test or you can use a translator of my review: http://www.modellflynytt.no/articles...Net/Side1.html You can at least see all hardware and solutions of the aircraft and its construction. Thank you for your input. In the minus entries, I think you say that the cg in the manual is incorrect and that some places need to be reinforced. I used an on-line dictionary to translate. Where did you balance yours and other than the tail wires and probably the landing gear mount what did you reinforce? It looked like a good build thread and I enjoyed the flight video. Don |

I started up testing the model with a heavy nose but ended up with a CG of approx middle of the top wing measured in the center. This is a safe place to start but I have tried it far behind center as well but be care then. A short fuselage and bipe may bite you..... I did also reinforce the mounting of cowling and some triangle balsa list along the fuselage in canopy area and also on the motordome. It flies great and I really thing it is great value for the money. Mine are equipped with GRPRO 50 and cannister with Vess 23A at the moment. Plenty of power The AeroWorks ultimate looks awesome but it is not prepared for cannister. That should be included in all 50cc models and up. |
