| In that picture of the 8611's the gromets and brass eyelets are installed and I was wondering, arent those little brass eyelets inside the rubber things supposed to be the other way around. I did that with my first plane and the plastic outcropping holes off the servo case broke. I am pretty shure they should be the other way around so the screw head has something hard to rest on.

Definately bottom, it is the correct way to isloate the case from vibration or something like that.

Bottom so that the vibrations go into the little brass thing and then into the rubber gromets. Whereas the other way the screw would be in contact with the brass insert, and would still be touching the wood encasing the servo, and would not work. |

This afternoon I got the aluminum firewall braces expoxied and bolted, made mounts for my Seiko rudder servo ( moved it forward as I prefer to err on the noseheavy side), and started on mounting the wing servos. So far, it has been a breeze to assemble. Craig |

Saw this bird today in person over at Craig's house, and my overall first impression is WOW. Extremely light, even lighter than my Yak from the looks of it. Ill try to answer some of your questions sweetpea from what I saw today: Wing: built up Bottom of Fuse: Stringers Tail surfaces cut out or not: Not sure what you are asking here... it is pre-hinged, but you must glue them in... if thats what you are asking. Hard points are marked, but not drilled as to leave final hardware choice to the consumer. Hardware: Craig's 260 looks as if it had full hardware. I know my 37.5% Yak had all hardware except for control horns. Craigs appeared to have come with rocket-city/nelson style horns in the hardware package. Landing Gear: Aluminum Instruction manual: didnt look for one... but then again, who follows instructions anyway/not that you really need one to assemble an arf. Tailwheel: Not sure... I would guess that is not included. Gear Cuffs? Not sure what these are. Access Panel on hatch: Canopy is not installed from factory, you can however easily make an access hatch if you want access to the cockpit, the framwork has a foam based bottom over it as a floor. Build Quality: top notch. Built extremely light and all interlocking. It looks like alot of thought went into keep this weight down on this one.
