Default New 200cc - 250cc Ultimate

I saw this on their website.
Blazing Wings has a new 200cc - 250cc Ultimate. ( $2100.00 )
Looks pretty cool.
I would need to build a garage because I can just squeeze my 35%'ers through the basement door now.

Wingspan : 118.11in
Wingarea : ( their website must be wrong ) 1318 sq in
Fuselage Length : 129.92 in
6 channels, 21 servos

Yep....i've seen the ad's they have placed , and that thing is friggin' huge! I think BH was planning on coming out with one too.....unless he already has , not sure. Either way.....it's way to friggin' big for my taste. There are plenty of guys on here that would love it though.

I guess that is madness.... i will say up to 46% ultimate is fine decent... anything beyond that is too much............... & also too expensive

I hope that Blazing wings knows that there is only a certain point up to where people can control these things! Once it gets this big, i personally believe (please don't bash at me for this but) that after an aircraft reaches a certain point it just doesn't seem to be FUN anymore. Don't get me wrong here i loved seeing the 80% staudacher and the 80% extra 260 build that is going on. Its just that these planes are gonna start getting dangerous at some point! And when i say dangerous i mean there gonna be TOO BIG! For example look at the Blazing wings Sukhoi that they make, its made for a 300cc-450cc engine! I mean seriously isn't that a bit too big? Sure its cool, but it would make a person like "SHAQ O'NEIL" look like an ant next to one of these things! Hope this doesn't stir up too much attention, but thats just my opinion on this. Big planes are cool and all but, be careful when you go over 40%! Seriously, now your talking "almost fullscale!"

it looks exactly like th H9 Ultimate, except for an airfoiled horizontal stab. Same fuse design, same wing assembly, flat rudder/vert stab, cowl positioning, etc... I'd love to give it a try.. I miss my H9 already!

The firewall and fuse appear to be designed to accept cans much better than the H9, so that's an advantage.

Lightened up and my 170 on Greves would rock.
3d, its not as big as you think, the full scale is super small and this one is only 118", granted big for a bipe, but really not that big compared to mono wings this scale. Besides the lil china dudes holding it are small...lol

G and L had them at PERRY , GA... Bigger than the H9 but not that much larger...But takes a 210 at least.. but could hold a 240 /275 .....Nice looking well built...They had them for the price of the H9... Don't think a 150 or 170 would cut it

If you guys have been keeping tabs on what is going on in europe; the 118" Ultimate is the norm. They run 400 to 650cc engines all day over there and their safety record is awesome. It is great that we have Bill Hemple in the US wo is the only supplier in the US that makes planes that are HUGE andf they fly like trainers if you want them to or you can have the best day of flying 3D with the biggest thing you have ever seen here in the ol US of A!!!!!

often times the bigger ones are the safer ones. i guarantee that more cautions are taken on the first five minutes of field assembly of these big ass birds than the guy with the 40 size tower hobbies special takes ALL YEAR!!! we all think of safety or lack thereof based on what we are familiar with.... there is no difference in the safety of this than that of a 35% gasser. sit back and relax, you don't HAVE to buy one.

Reyn, you sure are right. this looks like a big H9.... GET ONE MAN!

The AMA mandates/procedures for safety in this size plane (over 55 lbs.) is about 5 pages of safety checks, construction methods, mim. electronics, redundancies, etc. for each day the plane is flown. See AMA web-site. Now-a-days these are safer than planes just under 55 lbs.
