Yves, GOOOOOOOOOOOOOD Luck!!!! You are the proud owner of a balsa farm and when you get it built, you'll be the proud owner of a balsa overcast! I'll see if I have any old pics of ours. WT ![]() |

Hey now wait just a minute WT... I've still got that Nosen P-51 I bought from you while in Houston. Yes sir, she is languishing in the storage area in the same condition I purchased her from you almost 20 years ago... Now hows that for preservation! As I recall you threw away most of the bals and bought contest grade balse from Wiley Wooton at the now defunct Lonestar Balsa (or something like that.) So there are a few of us who have these gems lying around waiting for a neat opportunity to fly! TTYL, TJ |

Hi TJ, Some relics just never go away! (Like us for instance!) I had three of those monsters...... Joe Pasztor was STILL flying "Hurry Home Honey" just a few years back! Dad's old mount during WWII was "Ground Pounder II" Maybe that old bird might be in Heaven along with Dad...... He passed in his sleep a week ago tomorrow. (Monday the 13th) He was 92. It was a grand service with full military honors. Lots of war stories and lots of people that knew him well. I'm smiling! My brother Glenn, my friend Doug WT ![]() |

I've not achieved relic status yet (ya'll please tell me that ain't so...). ![]() If you've got pictures of your Dad's old mount - I'd be happy to give it a try finishing this one in those colors...Good for your Dad at 92 I'm sure he led a full life and is comfortable now, he's got good company up there with him as you and I both know from our last conversation. What did Joe Paztour have for power in his? I'm toying with the idea of an inline twin - don't remember the name of the manufacturer but they are/were big in Giant Scale air racing engines too. Keep you eye on your PM some recent developments I want to share and ask your opinion on a few market things down your way. TTYL, TJ |

I think the last motor was a Husky 7.4 single...... Might have been a small block Chevy the way it flew! (fast!) WT ![]() ![]() RET/CAF, I used a set of ANNCO retracts with P-51 struts. A friend of mine used an Aeromarine twin inline Quadra. (Twin Quadra 35's hooked together) The Aeromarine also had electric start..... He had pulled the motor off the 51 and it was laying on his work bench with all the wires hanging off the starter. The starter battery was on the work bench also..... Hummmmmmmmmm......... I wonder what this starter sounds like? I'll just give these wires a quick touch and let it turn over so I can hear what it's like. You know what? Two Walbro carbs just happen to hold enough gas in them to make one of these babies run for quite a bit....... WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You need to see how fast I can chase one of them Aeromarine sumbi*chs across a work bench before it hits the floor!! Just checking my heart rate........
