Hi, my name is Andy and i come from Austria, so, sorry for my english! Next time i want to buy a 100cc plane. I mainly fly 3D. What do you think is the best in this size for 3D: - Aeroworks Extra 260 35% - Aeroworks Extra 300 35% - Extreme Flight Yak 110" - Extreme Composite Edge 540T Hope you can give me some help for my decision. Thanks Andy |

Any of them except for the Edge. I have the 260 and absolutely love it. I have a friend that has the 300 and he loves his, and another friend that has the 110" Yak and loves it. The 300 is probably the heaviest of them but still flies light.

Out of the line up that you presented I would go with any of them except for that one particular Edge.If you like the Edge than go with one of the PAU Edge's or wait a month or two for Aeroworks to release their new 100cc Edge 540.

I had the Edge and liked it... but it didn't sell very well here in the US. It did have a little coupling on the ailerons and elevators, but managable. Why is everyone saying not the Edge... just curious. |

If you look at there new 50cc version just imagine it enlarged to 100cc class with a 105 inch wing.

All I fly are Edge's and will continue to do so.No round cowls in my hangar unless I get into flying warbirds which is highly unlikely.LOL

I said no Edge because I don't like them. I don't like the way most of them look, the ones I have flown have roll issues and other coupling issues, and while they are great if all you want to do is harrier and hover and tumble all day, they are not a good all-around plane, especially if you fly IMAC. Sure, you see them at IMAC contests here an there, but they are outnumbered 20:1 or more by Extras and Yaks and there's a reason for it. And most of them are being flown in Sportsman and lower classes. And I can't remember the last time an Edge was flown to a win at any major IMAC competition - again, there's a reason for it. And I know, it is the pilot that flies the maneuvers and not the plane, but a good pilot knows that a good flying plane will make less work for him.
