2nd on the Dietrich 260. DL50 w/ Zoar 22x8. Great combo! Yes the hardware may need modified or replaced. The plane flies very well and is solid on landings (also everyone knows it's a Dietrich! It looks like nothing else out there) That landing thing is as import as anything I can think of since it is required to fly again. |

The only way I was happy with the H9 27% 260 was flying it on a Saito! I flew many others on gas setups and they were all too heavy and all did exactly what happened to yours. Stick with any of the good brands out there REALLY meant for a 50cc motor and you will be happy.

be it that i am the Aerotech guy i should probably be telling you to jump up to a 100cc airframe and build one of mine!!! LOL BUT, realizing that you are in the 50cc market... it is pretty difficult to beat anything by mr. hinson at EF and ben at 3D Hobbyshop. these are great planes and they are backed by great service!!!! pick one of these companies and you won't be disappointed. that's just my $.02.... (you should still build one of our airframes as well!!! lol)![]() matt |

Hey everyone...... Thanks for all of the replies. As for the H9 260, it would have been a great airframe with either a large saito, or a 40cc, but with the DA50 in it, it just seemed to be a brick sometimes, and landings were real difficult as there were some horrible slow speed tendencies. I love the EF Extra, and I think that that might be my #1 choice, but I will take a good look at the others that were suggested. If I can find something that flys half as well as the H9 Carden Yak that I have, I think that I will be ok. Thanks again for all of the suggestions... |

The SU26 is a sweet plane. It is Scott's design, sold by other distributors now that DawghouseRC technically is gone. I flew the original prototype SU26. Its nice. The DawghouseRC Yak 55sp flies really, really good as well. I fly IMAC as well as 3D with it. It is on sale to deplete Scotts inventory at a very low price.

As for a 50cc frame, I would go with one of these 3 if it were me: 1) EF yak (lightest and probably best flying of the 50cc yaks, but fugly if you ask me) 2) AW Ultimate (I love ultimates, haven't flown this one yet, but am aching to buy one) 3) AW yak in the red/white scheme (not as light as EF, but built strong and looks great)
