Default QQ GEN 3 LONG SHOT

This afternoon, due to the actions of some %*%#$#$ a..hole at my field, I lost my QQ Yak.

I realize this is a long shot, but before I start looking at other available 35% ARFS, I was wondering if anyone had a new Gen III new in the box. I realize this is a VEEERRRY long shot, but figured it is worth a try.

I really did love that plane.

TIA
Ira

Any misspellings in this e-mail are due to the fact that I have downed a couple of ABSOLUTE and tonics and 1/2 bottle of wine.

I also realize most of you have been there before, ..........as I have also.

I hate this part of the "Hobby"!

It wasnt a radio hit.

I was flying by myself and doing torque rolls down the field at about 20', when a new pilot with a 40 size Mustang decided to takeoff by doing a 20 foot roll and a pull to vertical under me.

Never noticed that I had been hovering for 30 seconds right where he pulled up.

In an effort to avoid him hitting me I lost it. It all happened so fast its hard to recreate what happened. Needless to say, I am PO'ed.

I have planes to get me thru the season, but I really loved that YAK. I bought it expressly for the purpose of flying at my local field (which is all crazy all the time), but now that QQ has packed it in, it isnt even a replaceable plane, which was the original plan.

Still drinking. Feel better!

Lame, it sounded like a hit from the way you said it. There is a bit of friction between the 3D guys and the warbird homos at my field to. The other day I had a dude intentionally buzz my plane during a 3D manuver. He thought is was funny I wanted to kick his ass. Some people just have no respect for other pilots.

Man, that sucks. Hope you were able to salvage the engine and the avionics. I would take up the Gen 2 while it's still available. Chieft aircraft only carry very limited parts. Wonder if QQ has come up with anything with Horizon yet?
