Default hostetler 120" pawnee build

im building a wendell hostetler piper pawnee. its a scratch build. the specs are-

-120" wingspan
-80" length
- 50cc-100cc engine
- 25lb-30lbs

im planing on using a G62 for power and futaba 150ou\in servos- 4 in the tail and 1 for each aileron and flap. they might seem little small but im not planning on any aerobatic flights

Your build is progressing nicely. I love watching a plane get built in the bones, especially a scratch-built plane like this one. I wish I had more time to build because it is extremely rewarding.

Your profile says you are 15 years old. Is this correct? If so this is even more impressive! Tragically few young people have the manufacturing skills you are displaying with this build. Great job!

I am not as stunned by your age as much as I am by your immense degree of motivation and skill. Most of the 14 years old kids I see can barely lift a finger to push the lawn mower around and spend all their time on the "bliggety-blogs", "Tweety-Pages" and the "Facey-Spaces" websites (to borrow from Dennis Leary), and can't see any further into the future than the next Friday Night.

What engines are you going to use? Will you install flaps/retracts, etc? Definitely keep posting pictures of your progress.

Bravo!!

luv2rc, congrates on the build. Your family can be proud of your undertaking, at 14 you are well be beyond your years. Keep up the good work and keep those pics coming.

thanks for the kind words , im going to install flaps, the pawnee dosnt have retracts, unless theres a certain model im not familiar with. Im planning on covering in fabric depending on how much money i have at the time, and am going do do a fully scale cockpit. im planning on using a g62 for power

ill post pics later tonight, so far ive got the forward sheeting on the wing

My bad, I was thinking "Apache" (PA-23) for some reason when I read Pawnee. I though the plane was a twin.

A Pawnee would be a lot of fun to fly. maybe someday you can hook up dusting equipment too! Keep posting pictures, this is very interesting.
