Here is a picture of the fuel tank and how they will be removable, the mount under the tanks will be bolted so the tanks can be removed, inspected, cleaned etc.... I believe we will outline the mounts with a thin strip of dubro foam saddle tape. I will post a better picture as soon as I can.

Hey Chris, Say Hi to Berry for us. not sure if your joking about the weight but Remember this Eagle will have 62cc more than your eagle The only added weight to this kit will be a scale cockpit.

Hey Chris, nice to hear from you, say hi to Barry for us.. Could you please explain, how and where you think I'm adding to much weight? Then I will write back and explain how I'm actually losing weight from the factory recommended procedures. Manny

Hi Guys, Well I was looking at the weight differances between the ZDZ 210 and the 3W 220. It looks like there is a 3 pound differance, Plus you also have to baffel the rear heads. All of my tank and servo mounts are made of balsa then laminated with carbon fiber, very light, it looks like yours are of aircraft ply from the pics. Remember I thought mine would come in under 55 pounds with smoke it's 57 pounds. It still flys like a dream. Also mine is covered in monakote it looks like your going to use the glass panels and paint on the front. Now that mine didn't come in under 55 I wish I would have done that it just looks awesome. I saw Jim Neal's 50% eagle at the Nall and it looks great done that way. I attached a pic of my eagle (left) Jim's (center) Bob Truworthy's Pitts (right). It looks like there have been changes to the kit since Jim built his. Mine is a little bigger than his. I'll be watching the progress. Keep me posted on anything you can do to lighten it because I plan on starting another one in a couple of months. Thanks, Cris |

Manny, Here are a few pictures from when my Dad and I built the 100% scale Christen Eagle II. It had a lycoming I0360 A1D 200hp high performance engine with a hartzell variable pitch prop. Talk about the most amazing thing!!! A few pictures of our fuel tank install, photos of how the baffles are constructed around the 4 cyclinders, a pre-engine assembly, and a few shots of the upper wing during covering. My mom lost her dinning room for 6 months while the plane was covered. She really loved my dad. Any questions let me know. Mark

| Hey Chris, I don't read German very well, but I believe I understood the plans showing 0.5 to 1.0 degrees of up thrust, can you confirm this, and let me know what you ended up with on your Eagle? Thank you, Manny

Here the Engine has been installed. The cowl is really big and makes the four cylinder look very small under the hood, The intakes on the cowl are not directley infront of the cylinders so we will have to build the baffles to correct this.
