Default Identify this plane - Godfrey or Lanier maybe?

Well, I figured out it isn't a carden, but I still am not 100% sure what it is. Here are some pics. It has a wingspan of 104" and about 89" from cowl to rudder. If it is identified, could I get some info like a manual or something from someone? Thanks for your help.

That is a godfrey 300 cowl with a home built behind it. Still looks like it would fly nice.

Looks like a Godfrey cowl, Lanier wings and tail feathers. The fuselage looks like someone had an idea of their own. The thing should fly well. Good luck.

I'm working on a 1/4 Lanier Extra, have replaced all the plastic with a built up turtledeck and Fiberglass Specialties cowl. I did a lot of research on what people had done with these planes, and this is eerily familiar.... Could it be a Lanier kit with the Godfrey or Precision cowl and maybe Godfrey or custom turtledeck, and a custom Carden-ish fuse ?

Of course, now that I am thinking about it, did Lanier do a 35%'er ? I'm familiar with the 25% and 33%.....

I'm pretty sure Lanier's 33% was 102". Anyway what kind of info do you need? It looks from the pictures that the biggest part of the build is complete.

Just wondering about the bottom if it should be sheeted somehow or not? I am planning on a 100CC size engine - is that about right for power? The wings do not have any way to fasten to the fuse, and I was looking for some info on doing that. There is a small hatch in the fuse right under the tail feathers that looks like the intention was to put rudder servos in there and was wondering if anybody had seen that feature before. Approximate all up weight. Right now in the bones it is 10lbs with the cowl attached. Should I try and lighten it or not? It is set up for 2 servos per aileron, and was wondering if 1 8711 would be ok on the ailerons?

First of all if the bottom has stringers you don't need to sheet it. None of my Laniers are sheeted. 100cc's will be awsome power, I have had 3W 80 single and twin on both of mine.
The wings are a different story. Lanier had a hard point over top of the wing tube, then you just drill a hole all the way throught the hardpoint the phenolic tube and the alluminum wing tube, do thison both sides only remove one screw for transport.
You can put the rudder servos in the tail or use a rudder servo tray mine have it both ways I use two Hi-tec 5955's.
The ailerons can use either one or two servos. I have it both ways on mine, one has two 5955's the other has one. I really can't tell a difference.
I wouldn't try to lihten too much I had one before that was about 25lbs ready to fly and one hard landing from a deadstick broke it in half. Use your best judgement.

Hope this helps some.

It definitely looks like my Lanier 300S designed by Bob Godfrey...............especially that split cowl which was aftermarket. The original kit had all abs parts............including the turtle deck, cowl, wheelpants.

I have a ZDZ 80 on mine and it flew with authority.

Would a DA85 do it justice?
