Don't know it that twelve footer comes as an ARF but it does come as a combo (everything you need) for about $1800.00 ! I know they offer an eight foot version as an ARF and also a 40 size. Horizon Hobbies has a 6 footer called an ALPHA 60. Really good plane. Used to come as an ARF combo but that was before 2.4 came out. Have fun shopping !

Depends on what kind of training you want to do... Basic flight training on the buddy box? Go with the Giant Telemaster from Hobby Lobby. A trainer to get you used to flying giant scale planes? Get a 50cc Extra/Edge/Yak and go for it, you'll never look back. They are so stable and predictable!

I guess I should have been a bit more specific. I already have several Giants that I fly, 33% CAP, 1/4 scale Clipped Wing Monocoupe, 1.20 Yak etc. I was at the field today and a guy I know had a 50cc trainer but he had no idea who made it, only that it was an ARF. That was the coolest trainer I have ever seen. He let everyone fly it and it was a hoot. It was very similar to a Nextar or LT-40. Tricycle gear. I want to have something to take newbies out with but I don't want to fly glow again. I hope this helps clarify my question. It must be able to carry a gasser.

Could have been a super flying king from Bruce Tharp. http://www.btemodels.com/sfk.html not an ar but a great big trainer and fun kit as well.

I was thinking of this one, you can use a 26cc Gas Engine; http://www.hobby-lobby.com/taxi2400_59052_prd1.htm |
