All, ![]() I need the pros opinion on what is the best 3D airplane in 40% size arf. The plane will be used for presentation acrobatics and flown extremly hard. Current plane is a Hanger 9 46% Ultimate. This can be mono plane or Bipe. -Rick |

I moved your thread to the appropriate forum. Best is a tough word to classify a plane with. There are a bunch of great flying planes right now. AeroWorks has a 260 that is proven. I believe that they will be coming out with a 300 soon. I've seen the AW Ultimate like in your avatar fly and it does so quite well. Extreme Flight is coming out with a 300 hopefully soon, it has been in the works for quite some time now and should be near release. 3D Hobby Shop has a BIG Slick. JTEC has a great flying 300. PAU has a big Edge to offer. There are lots of options out there, its a good time to be in the market for a big ARF! |

For HARD 3D, i'd say an SD or pilot ( TT Toc Extreme ) plane.

Yes the AW Ultimate fly's nice as the one you see in my Avatar is mine. My main concern is structural integrity. The person that I am building this for flys extremly hard and has doubled the wings on several planes including a Hanger 9 ultimate. -Rick Last edited by spock5643; 07-30-2009 at 10:54 AM. |

Thanks for the info on the SD 260 at Chief, we will be purchasing an airplane and configuring it from scratch. I am looking at the 3W line of planes as I have one in the shop and they look to be built like tanks but very light, honeycomb and carbon galore. Any info on them and how they fly? -Rick |
