Looks like they ran out of red and orange paint, and then they just copied the Dietrich Slick 540. I guess this plane flies as well as the Xtreme Comp Edge 540, and since they are allready on the market, and proven great, I'd rather stick to them, being cheaper and in many different schemes. At least here in Norway.

Say what???...Xtreme Composites...proven...yeah..a good plane...but dont you think that Comp Arf has a little better reputation...ok.. a lot better. The Comp Arf edge actually looks like an edge...and by the way..the Extreme Composites Edge is made in the same factory as most Comp Arf planes. Notice the Comp Arf edge is much more scale looking...and not like as much of a pain to put together as the Xtreme Edge..

I have had both Xtreme Composite models, and Comp Arf models, and maybe the Carf has a better reputation, but in the 100cc class, no Comp Arf fly as well as the Xtreme Edge 540. I have even had the 3.5 meter Edge 540, and it out performs both the Super Extra and the 3.3 Yak from Comp Arf. The Carf is more scale looking yes, but I still think they could choose a scheme of their own. When it comes to putting together a Xtreme 540, it took me 3 days. I have done 5 of them. But don't get me wrong, the Comp Arf's are great planes, but they are over priced, just not worth the extra money. I don't fly composite models anymore, it is a pain to fix them if you damage them, and when you go to a flying event, there are 30 of them in the same scheme. I get three 40% planes, wood and balsa, for the price of one Carf here in Norway, and then I have made my choice

Here's my problem with Extreme Composite. A good buddy of mine had the old 42%Cap that they had. beautiful plane. Only problem is, when they dropped the line, screw the people who bought the kit. You can't get the parts anymore. Great customer service! I have the old 2.6m CompArf 330S in the fantasy scheme. In a move, somehow my right stab and both elevators cracked, I repaired them, but contacted Andy Kane to find out about availability since my kit has been discontinued. No problem, they've got them in stock.

I will put my Compy SX up a against any Xtreme 3.5 540 any day...any time...How many Xtreme Edge 540s are flying IMAC...or freestyle...or for that matter...at all. It is heavy...and I know of at least 2 that have fluttered all the way to the scene of the crash.

I didn't know they had a 42% Cap, never seen one on their web site. Never had any flutter, with any kind of plane, allways thought flutter was caused by bad servo rods, and not the plane. They are all hinged the same, both Carf and Xtreme.
