Default Byron Pitts question

Hey Guys,

I'm "re-engining" an old Byrons pitts, and was hoping someone had the CG measurments handy. Been doing some searching, but not much has come up. Any help is truly appreciated.

Cheers
Gerg

All the S1 and S2 Pitts I ever had I balanced on the leading edge of the lower wing.. Not sure that works on the Byron.. MIght look and see where the Great Planes S1 balanced..

Mr. Godfrey said it.

In 86 I left a pair of large Vice-Grips in my Byron Pitts and found them in the rear of the plane upon landing. Did great lomcevaks. I think you'll be fine on the first few flights no matter where you put the C.G.

Just make absolutely certain your fuel system is beyond bulletproof. Gasoline and a Byron Pitts doesn't work out very well....

Yah,
That crossed my mind too. It has flown it's whole life on a G38, so I figure if I leave everything where it is I shouldn't have any problems.

Byron`s owners manual says the CG should be 1/2 to 1in ahead of the leading edge of the lower wing.
