Default How is the new 73" Extra/Yak from Pilot-RC

I will try a new 73" Extra or Yak from Pilot-RC and wonder if anyone at FG have been trying them?

Pros and cons?

The majority of the airframe is probably an exact copy of a great flying plane from another manufacturer.... I will not be buying one, however, it probably flys well.

I've got one with a DLE30 up front, and really liking it. Right from the word go I thought it was very precise, rolls very crisp and clean, lovely slow rolls with just a touch of rudder and elevator input.

On to the wilder 3D stuff I think it'll handle pretty much anything you can throw at it. Rolling harriers are a breeze, just get the timing right and it ticks round nicely, harriers have a little wing rock at the minute,I think that's more me than the plane, I just need to work at getting the nose slightly higher every time.Knife edge at speed or slow HighAlpha is a piece of cake. Just need some calmer days to get a bit more practice with it. Flies very much like a good 50cc'er but in a smaller package....

Perfect for a day to day, no hassle playabout. 5mins/4bolts and you're ready to rock

I just test flew my Pilot 73" Extra 260 with DLE30 with Xoar 18 x 8 prop. Plane was a bullet but I have an issue with the CG. Where did you set the CG? and What prop are you using? I am thinking about a 19 x 6?

50% why dont you stop crapping up every thread here on FG. You never give advice that is worth anything and all you do is put down other manufactures. I dont know how many threads I have seen you come in and post "I will not buy that". Who gives a rats ass if your going to buy it or not? From the amount that you post on here and the type of info you post I dont even think you fly. I see pictures of planes half torn apart but never put together out at the field flying. Everyone here, we now know that 50% does not like Pilot RC. So hopefully we can get that out in the wind and we wont have to read it in every thread.

But I do like pilot-RC and I do not care about other the other....

Great planes, reasonable price, good overall quality and great flying models.

I hope I am able to modify the 73" Yak for small cannister. this will be my winterplane in Norway and skiies are on the way.....

Still waiting for the model so will post some pictures of the modification when it is in progress.

The 260 is very nice. Still having high idle issue with DLE30 and getting the right CG.
