Help! Hitec 7955's- What's going on?

I have just installed new 7955's in my new AW 260 and I have to say that I am not sure if I like these compared to my 5955's that I have in my 75cc Yak. They do not sing at netural like my 5955's, they make a lot of noise which is very annoying to me, is this commom with this servo? I read on another thread that some of the guys may had the same thing going on, don't know if I like this, may just pull them out and sell them and buy some 8711's or 8611a's. Someone chime in here and let me know, I frustrated, bought a new programmer with the set up also.

I'm using several of them and the only problem I've had was when a guy kicked the top of my rudder when stepping "over" to stand in front of the elevators. Kicked the counter balance hard enough to break the vertical post under it. Since the system was turned on that killed the amplifier in the servo. Can't fault the servo for that.

Aside from that I've found them to be quite reliable with good centering. The noise levels aren't as much as some others and they seem to take a little while to "smooth out" thoiugh the gears, but they'e good servos just the same.

Honestly I think they are smoother than the 5955's. I like them, but they do make a lot of noise. I talked to hitec personally about this and they said they will make noise because of the weight of the control surface all digitals do. But I do think it is a lot more than the 5955's. I believe with their titanium gear train and program features they are the top notice servos today and now with the 7950's and 7940's.

Don't get the 8711's you will just be replacing gears after 100 or so flights,, go with the new HItec 7950s,,, they are equivalent to the 8711's with better gear train.

I love my 7955's...always strong and not really all that noisy, in my opinion.....I currently have two per aileron on my plane and I used the programmer to get them moving in sync, and that just quietly zip along.

I don't care if they sing star spangled banner as long as they work good,, and after you crank the engine it doesn't matter what kind of noise they are making,,

I got 8 in a 46% Ultimate. I had one I had to send back because the amplifier was messed up. It would make an extremely loud buzz. They replaced it for free and everything is working great now. I have some 8611's on another plane and have had to replace a couple of gear sets in those and they already need to be replaced again. I will, personally, will never buy another JR servo because of the poor service I have gotten after dealing with these 8611's, Horizon service told me everyone needed to start replacing the gears in them after 40-50 flights. I paid almost $120.00 bucks a piece for those too, the 7955 Cost barely over $90.00 a piece and are better, stronger, faster and way more relieable.

I use both JR and Hitec, and they are both great servos,I have never had a problem w/gears in either one though i have had a 5955 burn up and cost me a bird.I still use them and like them better with the circuit breaker feature. As for horizon srevice(Best on the planet)IMHO

I have 3D birds setup with both 5955 and 7955. They're great servos.
