Hi Guys, I know there may not be many flying yet, but does anyone know where the CG is at that guys are finding works well. Dennis calls for 8 1/2" from leading edge according to the plans, Mine is presently at 9" from leading edge. Just was curious what some of the range may be to play with. Thanks,

Joe, spoke with Dennis at length about this. Mr. Pat has his as per plans. I know there is a BUNCH of room to play with here,. Dennis said over an inch if I'm not mistaken.

Hey Ive been flying my Yak sense January. You have a lot of room to play with your CG. My rudder servos are mounted pretty much dead center with a 3w 157 on cans. I might actually be a little nose heavy. I know David Paine mounted his in the rear with a DA 150 stock mufflers and seems to like it for a 3d type setup. Either way I think you will be okay.

Thanks Guys, I know that all of my Cardens have had room to play with on the CG and I have never had any problems. On my test flights, I was just seeing something that I did not like, especially when trying to do 3D flight, and was just covering my bases checking the plane over. I think I have found the problem with a setup on Ail and am pretty sure the CG is not the problem, but just checking. Thanks,

Dennis personally told me that the center of the wing tube seems to be the sweet spot. This location is back from the plans 1-1/2inches. This puts the CG 4-1/4 back at the wing tip. At this location the plane is rock solid with no increase in pitch and the plane axial rolls cleaner at the rear position. Per Carden...Its where I'm setting mine. Walt
