rcpilot8206-06-2006 09:17 PMhello all hi there i figured id jump over here since this place is SOOO much cooler than the competition!! anyway while i am here and i cant seem to figure out how to post anywhere else i have a question. Has anyone built and flown the planes plus Extra 34%? i ordered one and after about 1.5 weeks of calling carla it finally shipped today. aside from the time delay from the promised ship date (which carla did take care of me on) the plane seems sweet and i was wondering if there are any build tips or other issues that i should be aware of when this plane arrives? Thanks a bunch guys!!! wizard06-06-2006 09:44 PMRe: hello all Robby, Welcome to the Giants. It is the members like yourself that make the Giants what it is. To start a new thread to ask a question, go the the forum where you want to make a post. In the upper left there is a button labeled "new thread" click on it and it will get you started. As for the Planes Plus 34% I haven't had any experience myself, so I will let others answer. Again Welcome to the family. Wiz kennyandannie06-06-2006 10:06 PMRe: hello all Hey Robby, What Wiz said!!! Just click on "forum navigation" then "forum home" then you can pick from the list what forum best suits your question. Probably go to the Giant Scale Kits and ask away!! It's great to have you here!! Browse around, click a few buttons and check it out!! There's a ton of stuff to see and read!1 Welcome to the Giants!!! Biff06-06-2006 11:07 PMRe: hello all Hey Robby, I'm building (assembling) one now. There were no instructions with the one I got. No biggie. The only things that will take some figuring out is the servo mounts for the elevators and the wing bolt assembly. Everything else falls together. I don't have more than 16 hours time assembling it. Should finish tomorrow evening. As you get it together feel free to shoot questions my way. OH YEAH,,,WELCOME TO THE GIANTS DUDE!!! Glad to have you here. Great folks who share info and a common interest. It's all about a positive aproach to a past time. Heck we ain't solving world problems,we're messing around with models!! Enjoy my friend!! Biff rcpilot8206-18-2006 09:08 AMRe: hello all YEAH, i finally received my plane friday. it looks good with the exception of 2 things: 1. the instruction manual was missing, and 2. there was a 2" crack in the cowl.( this was from shipping because there was box damage.) carla said she would send a new cowl and e mail me the manual so we will see how that turns out. if anyone has a manual for this plane and would like to send it to me via e-mail i would appreciate it cause i have no idea how long it is going to take carla to send me a copy.( it took 3 weeks to get the plane but i got a deal on ot so i shouldn't complain) pm me for my e-mail if you need it. i have decided to go with robart pin hinges on all surfaces. i dont think i trust the wing attachment setup provided with the plane so if anyone has done something else let me know how it works. here is what my setup is going to be: da-100 w/ nx 27X10 prop hitec 645 on ailerons (4 total) hitec 945 on elevators hitec 945 on rudder (2 on pull/pull) i4c isolator futaba r149 dp rx mpi switches what are you guys running in yours? kennyandannie06-18-2006 09:18 AMRe: hello all Hey Robby, It's not going to be easy to get the answers you are looking for with your questions in the "New to the Giants" forum. A lot of members don't open threads that say "Hello" in the title. You might want to go to the "Giant Scale Kits and Airframes", I think that's what it's called, and start a new thread. It will give you a lot more exposure to the general membership and may help you get the answers you need. Also, give Carla a chance, I'm sure she'll get your e-mailed manual to you quickly. Good luck on your project, I'm sure you'll love the plane when it's done!!! |

Carla at planes plus went out of buisness. She was horrible to work with anyway and caused me alot of stress and $$. From what I know, the CHP is the same plane as the Planes Plus. I built mine with the CHP manual. If you really want one I have been pondering selling mine, it flies much better now that it has new wings. I also have cans in mine, comes out to 27.5#RTF. here is a link to the "new wing thread" PP extra 34% needs new wings! for the drama PP EXTRA 34% FOAM CORE WINGS ARE ON A ROLL!! for the solution
