Help! H-9 33% Edge 540 CFLG

Howdy! guys..Have a new EDGE 540 with a GT80....my first gasser...Flys like a dream...
Only have 12 flights on it.....all the landings are on grass..none of the landing were hard or even
close...in fact a couple were so soft it was hard to tell when it quit flying and landed....
Here is the question...I have noticed some spider cracks in the epoxy paint at the bend
of the main CFLG. Is this normal..or should I replace it with a heavier LG.??
Thanks

If it is just cracking the paint thats fine, just cosmetic, but check to make sure its not actually delaminated or cracked though.

Thanks for the reply Flyinrazrback...
I put the big eye on it but couldn't tell, but will keep a close eye on it after every flight...

try putting a little of pressure on the gear..
If they are delaminating you will know quickly, because the layers will seperate.
If its just the clear coat.. no seperation.

I have the hanger 9 edge with a DA 100 up front. The gear started delaminated after the second flight did the CA thing with the gear. That work for a few flights then it cost me a couple of props from tiping up because of the gear.Pick up aluminum gear from TNT which is 2.5" taller then the comp. gear

Same thing happened to the cf gear on my h9 extra 260 27%. It eventually delaminated and Horizon sent me the aluminum gear.

Well Fellows. It is delaminating on both LG, so I took the LG off and put in a vise and spreaded it
some what and squirted in so slow cure cs.. sprong it a couple times to work it in and let it set for a
couple hrs...Went to my fishing box and got some 60lb gater nylon cord and did the fishing rod eye
thinge on the LG from the mounting holes down around the bend about 2 1/2 inches. Then coated
it with slow cure epoxie....let it set for two days.....have now put 12 landings on her now . Looks like it going to hold fine....This has been the only flaw that I can find the the H9 540.. It is a sweet
flying bird...
