I used a 3/8" ply template cut the shape of my motor mount as a standoff (cut the interior portion out to save weight). This put the spinner back plate about 1/8" in front of the cowl ring. Following is my set up. DA150, MTW flex headers, KS canisters, 5" spinner, 2 5955's each wing, 1 5955 each elevator, 3 5955's on rudder in a SWB self adjusting tray, 1 mini digital throttle servo, 1 cheap choke servo, 3 Fromeco batteries, regulators, etc. This plane flies awesome and I have no doubt you'll love it.

I was amazed at how much was already done for you. There is little building to this thing really. The design on this thing also blows my mind. I cant wait to get mine flying! I will have the same setup except I am going for 2 5955's on the elevators and the Seiko server on the rudder.

Yeah, Tom should come up with a snappy phrase to use similar to Aeroworks "Quick Build" series. Maybe he could call his the "Not Much Left to Do" series? LOL

I love mine. I am already working on the wife for a second one. There have been a number of improvements over the prototype that I have. I just need to get one ordered before Tom comes to his senses and raises the price. It isn't very often you can get the best in quality at the lowest price.

The thing just flies so good. I got all positive comments at the Tulsa IMAC contest a week ago. Things like, "That is the most stable Extra I have ever flown in a Harrier." "It rolls so well in both directions, no wobble, just pure axial rolls." "The thing comes covered for $1295?" I know Tom got at least one order from that contest.

I call the other style "nnrf" which is "nowhere near ready to fly".

There's no reason other builders can't install stuff like the tank mount and radio/rudder servo tray.
