Just an FYI... Lanier is blowing out their Edge 540 and Staudacher S600 kits. $500 and free shipping. I bought a Staudacher. May not be an Extra 260, but I like building and you do not see many of these. |

Has any one out there assembled and flown a Giant Scale Planes 96" (75-100cc)Cap? I am thinking about buying one, but want to know if they are OK, or junk. I have had a small Cap, and it was dangerous. It did a beautiful snap with just full up elevator. I can't afford much, so this plane is temting. Please help! Gary |

if you like to build these are great . Except for missing some parts on my 1/3 extra the kit was pretty good. The plane flys great and true, can't speek for the other kits but I built the 1/3 kit stock and contrary of all beliefs came in at a great weight of 25lbs. With a 3w80xi this is a great flyer and a perfect plane to get into giant scale/ imac cheap. Mike

It's the lanier 1/3 extra 300s kit, I built it in the spring, This is a great flying plane, true and straight. Some mods need to be made if you want to do 3d but otherwise for IMAC stock is perfect.

Bi.... The appropriate word here is cheap... for GSP planes... and they don't support their products...!! I had their 1/3 scale Cap... and there is no manual... you have to download it... well the CG was wrong... Plane was impossible to fly... I contacted them... their response, "... yea... we know it's wrong..." .... Nice... My suggestion... be careful... |

Red, The 40% Lanier Staudacher flies great. Just be sure and keep up with what everything weighs as you build it. I have one and also have a 40% Edge. Both come out a little heavier than some like but if you do a little lightening to them as you build and use light equipment they come out fine. My Edge weighs 42 lbs and has a 3W 150 TOC it flies just fine. You will have to enlarge the control surfaces a bit if your going to fly 3D. |
