Default Whats the difference? 33%-35%

Hey guys, so heres the deal, I'm looking at trading my 30% AM Yak for either H9's 33% Extra, and some 5955's OR I'm thinking maybe a DA100 and a few servos. Now i'm limited on budget and transportation as school and work is coming first at the moment. So really what I'm asking is how would a 33% plane fly compared to say a 35%? The 33% would be more convient for me but I don't want to be kicking myself come next season for not going to 35%.

What would you do?

If you're on a budget, go with 3W-80 (600$) or super ZDZ-80 (675$) and any 33% 22-24 lbs plane. No, it does not shake like hell...The big singles could fit into 35% plane later with a tuned pipe and you'll get all electronic. A 80cc on a tuned pipe give more power than any 100CC twin.

I have the 33% AM Yak, and 33% WH Extra 260. From what i have seen in the past IMAC competitions, there is no real flying diffence between 33%-35%. Is there is one, it does not justify the cost.

Get a good flying 33% plane and enjoy the heck out of it, you can power it with one of the 80cc singles (3W/ZDZ/EVO). The largest difference in cost is in the motor. The size difference between most 33%s and 35%s is probably 6-10 inches....

The WH 33% extra 260 IS SICK!!!

Mine is 23lbs with a ZDZ 80 and is SICK..
Love it.
Flies just as good and just as "big" as a 35% plane.

Hope that helps.

I fly a Hangar 9 Extra 330 33% (97" wingspan) with a BME 102. The 102 is actually very small for a 100cc twin. I have plenty of power for unlimited ups (6k plus asl) and flies great. I fly my brothers' compy 2.6 Extra 330 from time to time and I feel there isn't much difference. Granted I'm not as accomplished as some of the insanely good pilots here, (no sarcasm) but I've flown enough to know that there really isn't a WORLD of difference. Go 33% and don't look back! You can always move up later. I think the jump from 35% to 40% is where you really "feel" the difference.

Steve

i would check out the dietrich 75cc size extra 260. their stuff is awesome and a 3w 80/85 would ROCK that rig!
