Toc/Am hinges

Any of you use the provided hinges on the 30% yak? If so has anyone had problems? I don't like the look of the pins.

I've used them on several AM models ranging from 30% to 40%. One of my 30% YAKs has over 400 flights on it...never a failure! They were all installed using Polyurethane Glue.

Currently flying both a 30% Yak and 30% X260 from AM. No problems.

I have used them in several of their airplanes with Zero problems. I also used Polyurethane glue to install them.

Dale, you should not have any problems. The material used is very good and wont crack like some of the harder plastics. I have used these hinges in the AM planes many of times. Actually some of the best glues I have used to put the hinges in is the Zap Hinge glue. Very clean and strong. Very simple to use as well. I just skuff the hinge with some sand paper to make sure all the mold release if off.

I did use the hinges, I never thought to sand paper them but glued them well. That 30 % Yak is one beautiful arf, I have found litterally nothing wrong with it and a better covering job than I could do myself. Now if I just had your thumbs
