Default ca super extra cutouts... again?

Ok, Next question and hopefully the last. Just want to make sure before I cut...

Below is a pic. The instructions call for a 2inch by 6 inch hole to be cut near the rudder servos. I'm using the swb tray and I've got blocks mounted in. The hole will come very close to the powerbox tray as you can see in the pic. (card cutout shows the 2-6 hole location).

1. Is this the best location for these holes?
2. Is there a better place/shape for them?

I am using cans so these are necessary.

Thanks,
Craig

I would mount the motor and mut the cans on with the outlets rotated up. That way you can make sure where you are marking the exit holes is correct.

These are the holes for the air exit behind the cans. THe holes for the downspouts are allready cut much further up on the firewall dome.

I would radius the corners instaed of cutting them square. Less likely to start a stress crack that way.

Ok got ya. I think the radius corners is a good idea and will look better too. Another idea I like is cutting oval slots rather than big holes. If done in a v pattern from the middle it looks good and provides the cooling. Just make sure you have the same amoutn of surface area open.
