I have heard many good things about wildhares service and the qaulity planes for the price but I still think an AM is a better choice. Just my humble opinion.

I guess it's a matter of what you are looking for. The WH Yak is a bit smaller (80") than the AM (85"), but they fly very similar. I have the WH with a Moki 2.10 and it comes in at 13lbs 12oz. My buddy has the AM with a DA50 that came in at 17lbs. 2oz. I can quote this because we weighed them just yesterday at the field before fueling. And that is with almost identical set-ups, Hitec digitals, one battery for the raido and one for the ignition (mine has an on board glow heater) his has the ign. box of course. I got to fly both yesterday and I think his lands a little better, but both feel light on the sticks and are pleasntly over-powered.

If you are going with a 50cc go with the AM Yak.

Take a look at the Ultra RC yak. It is the same as the EF yak.

This would be my choice as well..also EF is supposed to have 2 new 50cc planes out very soon..may want to wait a little longer to see what they are.

If they had been identically equipped with DA-50s, there would have been a 2 pound difference, minimum.

What does that tell you about the performance you can expect?

After having to fiberglass, triangle stock, use screws, and more glue, to keep my firewall from falling off my AM Yak, I'd say try wildhare. I guess china wood, is too weak for Da-50!

Sounds like you need some new epoxy. You should have put the triangle stock on the firewall in the first place. Also I always pin every firewall with 1/8" dowls no matter if its a ARF or probuilt plane. I have not heard of a firewall falling off because of the make of the plane.

Hello somebody !!! If all else fails read the manual, all firewalls on a gas planes should be pinned and tri-stock used in the corners for proper support. These engines require proper building practices as stated above. I think the AM Yaks are some of the best planes in the world today.

Even though it is my christmas present I took I peek at my yak and the the construction is increadible!!!! I dont think you would be dissapointed with either yak but since I have an am yak I think that it is the best. But it really is an amazing plane so do your self a huge favor and get the am. You will be so much more impressed. Btw I have never had a wildhare so I am not saying anything bad about them. I will admit that wildhare might have better customer support and tom is an awsome guy!!!
