Default Radiocraft Staudacher

Anyone flown a 35% radiocraft staudacher? I have access to a ARC version. How does it fly with the non-airfoiled tail? Looks light.

Razor-

It's a real nice flying plane. Same wing was used on their Extra.

Razor, I flew a couple back in the day that my buddies had. I really liked the plane. Flew nice and light and was very crisp. If you can get a decent price, you'll be very pleased.I'd have one in the shop!

Flew one for two seasons, when it first came out, hundreds of flights, the plane is very light but elevators are small and ailerons are short, it will torque roll but you cannot stop it from torque rolling, I liked the plane but it's 3D capabilities are limited in todays standards for sport 3D flying it is ok.

I had one back around 5 or so years back it cost over 1,100 big ones from Harry Taylor the owner of Radiocraft years back. It was very light and flew good . Isnt it surprising how the cost of these planes have come down. The original plane was made in Mexico and was one of the first arc planes to be popular back then before the China planes and arfs become popular. I have a interference problem with the plane after only 8 flights and i was sick about it . I had a Brison 6.4 twin on it and i loved the plane. In todays prices it was very high priced for a arc of this size in comparison to today like i said but if you can get one at a descent price go for it .

Great flying plane. Had one with a BME 5.8 in it a few years back. As others have said, it flys very light and nimble. If you're into 3d you'll find it a bit lacking in side area, ail area, and elev. area.

We would also second all of the Kudos on this bird... flew it up to Advanced class imac; two years ago. VERY VERY Nice, and yes probablty not the best 3d choice, but for all other flying, can't beat it.. also have one RTF.. for sale.. email off llist if interested.. don
