Hey Guys Iv ordered a SV 100cc from Hobby City about 3 weeks ago just waiting for them to get it in stock and ship it off with EMS so it sould be here in a zip. Will let you guys know what it is like. But It is the same as the GRPRO from Alfonso thats for sure 100% . I have used a 100cc GRPRO from Alfonso Wang and initialy I was very peeeeeed offff with it cuase it wouldnt start then I found some dirt in the carb and other problems. When I got it to start eventualy I was happy ..........very quite very smooth and power was perfect 28 x 8 , 28 x 10 no problem. I will be running the SV 100 in a super light modified 37% Blue Sky Aviation Katana and will be fitting cans to the SV . Im only worried about how the motor will handel the extra heat with cans ??????? But like I said im confident of the power that the GRPRO put out. Trev

Good luck with that! A wise man once said, "When man buy an expensive item, man only cry once, when man buy a bargain item, man cry many, many times."

well here is an update ..............Hobby city have today just recieved stock of their DL 50 and SV 50 so my guess is that the stock of 100s can be far away. Just to let you guys know about Hobby city's service. I ordered lots of extra stuff along with the SV 100 but becuase the motor was at the max of ESM servicable weight they sent the order off in two seperate parcels also work out cuase the motor wasn't in stock. Anyway the first parcel was supposed to arrive here on the 25th January but didn't. I decided to check up on whats happened to it seen as its been almost a month. I found out that they didn't attach the invoice to the parcel so its held at customs. Well I complained to Hobby city and they checked up on their side and found out that in fact the invoice was sent. I went to inspect the parcel ( BOX ) and found that the invioce had been ripped off the box. So I asked the guys at Hobby City to fax a copy of the invioce to the customs people. I just got an email today to say that they had done so and to apologize for the delay plus they made the invioce amount $50 so that I would not have to pay VAT on it, the total order for that parcel was just over $600. Thats good service even though it was not there fualt. So far I give them 10stars for service. Trev

hmmmm .. . falsification of Shipping documents . .Customs hoodwinked. . .one company taking the engines of many small vendors and putting them out the door as their own, and not telling anyone that they are doing so.... Does anyone else get the feeling that the term "Unscrupulous" applies here? Don't we already have enough of that in this hobby from "been here, now gone" companies that played these games and then just closed shop, leaving customers stranded or out of money? It may seem like bragging to tell the tale of the South African Government getting jilted out of a few Krugerrands, but actually I see it as a symptom of something I don't really like. If they lied to SA Customs, what ELSE are they capable of? There's a certain business acumen and level of propriety that should be adhered to. I'm not seeing it here. What if the result of all this is that the SA government fines YOU, closes it's border to this company, and then goes on a witch hunt for other Chinese importers to that country? Now. . THAT would be worth bragging about, wouldn't it?

Actually I find it intensely annoying that Chinese companies insist on shipping everything with false declarations. Whenever I order something from China, I expressly request that an accurate declaration be completed with the *full* price. We have laws, duties and taxes in place for a good reason and flouting those laws/taxes is somewhat akin to stealing. However, without exception, my boxes arrive labeled "Gift $50", even when the contents are worth five times that amount. Fortunately, we have a tax-free personal import level of US$400 here in NZ so none of my packages would have attracted tax anyway, but I still think these phony declarations run the risk of some customs agent saying "hang on, that looks to be worth a whole lot more than $50" and thus holding the package until I can prove that I only paid that much. So just who is legally culpable if you order something from China, pay $300 and receive a box with a declaration of $10? I strongly suspect (given the way tax-collectors work) that even though you had no control over the declaration, anyone receiving such a consignment could be charged with an offense under the relevant tax laws. So what (short of not buying from outside the country and thus sometimes paying a *huge* whack of margin for someone else to import falsely declared packages) can you do? |
