| Flyin' Around ![]() | dealinrc...Thanks for the tip. But 26cc isn't big enough for the project I'm working on (I need at least 35cc). XJet...Funny you mention the DL-50, I plan on buying one of those for a 30% Yak I'm putting together (as soon as I can come up with the money for it). But for this particular airplane (an OMP 80" Profile Edge), I'm looking for the 'cheapest' priced, yet decent running engine I can find. Having a side mounted carb would be a definite plus, too. I'm hesitant to cut clearance in the fuselage far enough back to clear a rear mounted carb. Since the plane is only a profile, it may cause undo vibration up front. Ideally, a beam mounted engine would be the best (like the MVVS 35cc I had for it), but there aren't many engines available like that. I know BME use to make one, but they cost even more than the MVVS I just sold! I'm looking for something NIB, and not more than $200. I was interested in the SV-50, but it has a rear carb like the DL-50. So now I'm looking at the FTL-45, FTL-52, or the XY-50. |

| Bad-ass Super Contributer! ![]() |
The stupid thing was that this was supposed to be an evaluation unit for use on our UAVs and the seller knew that. We're talking about significant ongoing orders here -- and they *still* didn't even bother performing the most rudimentary checks (such as "does it turn over") before shipping it. Suffice to say we're *not* using CRRCPro engines on our UAVs :-)

| Flyin' Around ![]() | RE: the rconlysite guy This guy is fraulent. I have tried to purchase apiper cub from him and have seen or heard nothing. Even though the delivery is to Australia and he has said many times that there are delays, he does not provide an update and cannot tell me even an approximate time. It has been 4 months now and he has taken my money and simply run. I have called him by phone to try to discuss and the last time I got abused. I have tried everything possible and all I am after is a date for delivery. His customer service is the worst I have seen ever. He has been banned from other sites and has changed his name username on these sits recently to continue advertising. I dont thik this post will last lon as he will most likely delete it. I will be taking legal action agaist him so let this be a warnig to everyone else. Avoid the rconlysite web site and its products like the plague. The domain is registered to Barry Cohen but it looks like he doesn't exist so be warned. |
