You guys are really going out of your way to find something wrong with this engine LOL

What happened to just breaking an engine in! So many comments in just a short period of time, has anyone put a gallon of fuel through one yet?

Well several of the comments have been deleted along with the pictures showing the problems. Along with that they still seem to be trying to get one to run properly long enough to break in. So far no one has gotten one to run better than a 50cc from what's been posted and that required remounting the Hall sensor to correct the timing. Believe me, we're all looking forward to someone breaking one in.

Be happy to but I really don't think Larry wants to use his thread for that sort of thing. I am really interested in this engine. I just want to see some of the dozens of people who have bought them post their numbers for the thing. So far we have two independents. Out of how many engines sold???

I'm interested in this engine as well, but I'm willing to wait until all of the problems get sorted out FIRST, and we get some consistent performance numbers..................

Gentelmen,
Every engine that come on the market that is worth anything will have growing pains. This new MT57 is not any different then DA, DL, 3m, in as much that at one time or another they had a bump in the road. I will not get into each
ones short comings but will say we WILL DO EVERYTHING IN OUR POWER to make it right. We are building a network of fine people to support our product and intend to make our SERVICE second to none. That is our aim. We will not be intimedated
by hacks that do not own are product and have much to say about nothing. We will listen to our costumers suggestions and constructive banter, because they have
purchased this great engine and we will make it better until it is the best 50cc size
engine on the market. We will soon be releasing a header pipe and performance canister as a option when purchasing our engine and it will be reasonably priced.
We are doing this because many of our customers have asked for it. It will be available to our customers that have already purchased our engine, but will not be made available for the general market. In the very near future we will be coming out with a competition version of the MT57 that will if it meets our exspectation will be in the 6HP+ area. Tomy Shen had assured me that all his efforts are channeled
to make this engine the very best. Tomy myself and Ralph are working towards this aim. You as the customer will never be alone after your purchase, you will have ME, RALPH and Tomy Shen to help you if needed.

I don't think anyone is out there knocking the engine.. what some people are doing is asking for some real numbers. There are 2 people who claim some high numbers.. 1 in particular and so far no one has duplicated that.

I see lots of talk about timing and reeds and how this engine is the best in class. It's not adding up so far plain and simple.

I personally was looking for Ralph's opinion because I trust him to make an honest opinion on the power and quality of the product. We have shared words many times.. but I have always said I have never discounted his knowledge.

He doesn't even chime in on the thread and makes a statement about the numbers weren't what he expected but maybe elevation had something to do with it??

So now for what 2 weeks it's in the hands of a test pilot and nothing has been said.

I think there are some honest people looking for answers and input on the engine. Am I a potential customer? No I am not.. but I am curious about the engine because I am going to get asked about it.

I don't have a problem recommending an engine that works well and fits the application / budget of whoever is asking... but I would however like to give them some knowledgeable advice so I can feel comfortable in my recommendations.

So the short response is.. your term hacks is misplaced in my mind. The only slamming I have seen in this thread was against other companies / engines.

Wow.... a competition version with 6hp! And if I buy one I can have a canister that no one else can buy unless they buy an MT57 too. How about lets just concentrate on getting one to run long enough to post some numbers and stop with the BS.
