Tomy, we were told earlier on this thread that there was going to be another version of this engine that would have more power. Can you tell us a little about this engine, when it will be released and how much additional power it has over the first version

thank you

The LS Pro MT57 in the video that I posted last week is mounted on a Giant Aeromaster bipe. This plane was built from a kit -I bought it 75% complete for a good price. It turned out that the plane was not built very well and I had to reinforce and fix many areas. Because of the previous builder's mistakes, the plane turned out heavy with the final weight of the plane (with the LS Pro MT57) being 24lbs 3oz (dry - no fuel).

I was able to maiden this plane with the LS Pro MT57 Wednesday night. I decided to put a Xoar 22x8 on the plane for the first flights because I was concerned about ground clearance and because the engine is not broken in (I have less than 30oz through it) I figured I would give the engine a light workout.

First flight was great, throttle response was excellent. The engine handled this heavy plane with ease. The bipe has unlimited vertical. I'm very impressed and pleased with the performance. Can't wait until the engine breaks in.

After I practice a few more landings with this plane, I'll also switch to the Xoar 23x8.

Sounds great Jeff. I am looking forward to seeing mine when it arrives. I got all my covering shrunk on my Giant Stinger last night and will be reinforcing the firewall tonight, joining the wing halves and hinging the ailerons. I think this plane will be a beast with the MT57 on it. I'm going to try and get as much done as I can before going on vacation.

Wow, unlimited vertical on a 24+ pound plane with a 22X8 prop. There is nothing wrong with that. Must be ripping the out of the prop.

Jeff I received my MT57 in the mail today with the props. Very good packing and thanks for the decals. I will be sporting them proudly on my plane.
The engine looks real good. Very nicely made. The muffler looks to be the same basic design as the one that comes with the DL, but with better welds along the seams. I took a couple of pics of it dressed up with a set of Roger Forgues red standoffs. It is nice that the engine is set up for M5 threaded standoffs because I already have some in different lengths. I will be mounting the MT in a Giant Stinger and the standoffs supplied with the engine are already the correct length. I can't wait until I get back from vacation in July so I can get my plane finished and fire this baby up.

Little update. Saw 7350 rpm's for a short time yesterday on a Xoar 22x8 and 2 outlet muffler that came with the engine. I plan on switching to synthetic and seeing what I get.

These are the measurements I used for making a template and the template I used. Worked out perfect. when I get time I am going to make one on Microsoft XL so I can print them off when I need one.
Inner radius was 38mm and the outer radius was 43mm.

I see you guys are now giving away a free header with the purchase of an engine, even in Canada. It would be nice if someone thought about us "existing customers" and offered them for sale somewhere?
