Tomy
It won't be flying. I was just doing some taxi runs and a wind gust caught the wing and flipped it. It wasn't even going fast enough to nick the prop, but the plane just blew apart. To make a long story short the area around the rear wing mount was very weak in design, made worse by a lack of glue. Here's a quick pic. My MT57 will be going into a Aeroworks Pitts Python next. I have ordered a wrap around Pitts muffler for it. It may be a month before I can get it ready.

You seem to think its funny that Brillelli may be done in by the cheaper Chinese engines. It would not be so funny if you or one of your family lost there job because of cheap Chinese imports. Scott has worked his heart and soel out for Brillelli engines, and look what it got him.It looks like the Chinese will force me into retirement. We would probably be gone now but a lot of fliers do not want Chinese ignitions. We are still building the good old C&H.We are building a lot of ignitions for the UAV programs they do not want Chinese. The RCXL is a very good ignition a clone of the C&H.but they did not clone my best timing control.I can build the CHXL ignition with our Syncro Spark(TM)
timing control and for Li Poly or A-123 batteries.
Any way I am to old to worry about it .

The best thing for a guy like you might be for you and your family to stop supporting products that come from outside the USA. Only use and buy products made in the good ole USA.

Certainly you would not tell sombody to stop buying foreign products if you yourself were buying them.

Here's a short list of things you could look at in your quest to stop our jobs from going overseas. Getting rid of your foreign made products is an excellent way to make your point. Start with Cell phones, your desktop computer, PDA, fridge, stove, car, land line phone, own a laptop? toss it in the trash can, fishing pole and reel, Do you own an ARF? burn it. How about the lawnmower, tennis raquet, ski's, silverware, plates and dishes, microwave, printer, CD player, your wallet, your wifes purse, cloths, and shoes ( wanna see you explain this to her) Your watch,TV, the radio system for your RC plane, nearly any glow engine, MOst RC componants on the RC plane, the nitro in your glow fuel, the gas in your car, your bike, skis, rollerblades, how about the componants in your ignitions systems?, and lastly, many of the componants in the chainsaw conversions you seek to protect.

To answer your question, no I would not wish any of my family and or friends to loose their jobs to a foreign product, but it's bound to happen. I say foreign product instead of Chineese because I'm quite sure this is what you ment unless you have something in particular against the Chineese people. Low cost quality products is what the American people want, we ourselves have created this demand, the Chineese and others are only giving us what we ask for.

Jakey, name calling has always been your specialty when you can't defend your position. It's unfortunate and against the FG rules. I assume you don't understand, so I'll explain why your statememt is incorrect.

It does matter to Bill if some chainsaw conversions come with the option of a CH ignition. No chainsaw converstion, decreased CH ignitons sales, thus a decrease in revenue for the person assembling the ignition. Do you really think that the public can't put two and two together?

Lets talk about an agenda as long as you brought it up. Normally a person with an agenda has one because he or she will profit given a certain outcome. We have talked about your agenda in the past. You admit that you recieved a free engine from Berrelli. You went so far as to compare yourself to a NASCAR driver in the explanation of your role in advertizing. I would advance the theory that you have an agenda. Intelligent people are causious when taking advice from somebody with an agenda. If someone sells ignitions to Chainsaw conversion people, one might assume that they have an agenda when he seeks to protect the business that buys his products. It's just common sense.

I don't sell, market, profit from or accept free RC engines parts or service. My opinion is mine, it's not bought and paid for.

I am not defending anything so really the name calling is not that... it is my opinion.

If you are going to take the extra time to try and come up with a long winded "intelligent" post then I would encourage you go that extra step and spell check it if you can't spell. It comes across a little better.

I am not going to bicker over the agenda issue, it's not worth the energy.. however that being said CH has been around forever and does a lot other work beside sell ignitions to converters so really I think you missed his point completely.

Either way I could spend more time your rants, but you like to listen to your self talk a little too much for my tastes and you would never shut up and end the useless babbling.

I would expect you to find a spelling error Jake, there was nothing else you could contest. (I put it in there just for you) I know you don't like to talk about your agenda. You made that mistake once. You didn't think I'd remember, I can't believe you thought I'd forget. Good luck with your engine sales, and whatever it is you do. Maybe you'll get another free motor!
P.S. you did the right thing when you deleted your post. It would not hurt to do that a little more often.

Actually there were seven... but considering the basic nature of the wording used and simple words mispelled it adds up with my original opening line.

Thanks for the best wishes.. means a lot!
