| The CG on the 33% yak was set just a little forward from where it should be. The first flight I made sure everything was a little nose heavy so I could work from there. If you follow the plans on the www.aerobaticmodels.com site then that will give you a very good starting point. Garrett Morrison |

Garret, was that 95" Yak really only 19-3/4 pounds??? With what engine? This is 2 pounds lighter than Aeroworks 75CC offering with a Super 80 in it!!! Dude, I may have to keep an eye on that one. It would be perfect with my BME 110 at my altitude!! I have a QQ 102" Yak right now, but I don't know how long it is going to last...

Sorry Gremlin did not even see that post. You have to remember that this was the first flight on the plane and nothing was setup right such as throws,Cg, ect. Also when I first posted about this plane back in the off to china thread I wrote about how I had some bad luck with a plane crashing because a bad battery. Well this is the same engine that was in that plane and it totally destroyed the ignition and carb assembly. I had to piece together enough parts off a 3w 75 to make it work half ass to test the airframe. I should have never put it on the deck because the throttle responce was about 4 seconds behind my inputs on the transmitter. But to answer your question the plane flew very well and will be another winner in the fleat of planes from AM. The wing rock you were seeing in the vid is just stuff that needed to be worked out like I mentioned above. Also the music is covering up the wind noise but it was windy most of the days I was there so I had to fight that. Bodywerks, not sure how the 110 would fly this plane but I imagine it would have a ton of power. 19 3/4 was the first prototype, but the productions are in the 20-22 pound range. I forgot that I have a video of the Funscale Yak. I will upload it in a few mins. Garrett Morrison |

The BME is around 8 ounces lighter than the Super 80 and a pound lighter than the 3W. So long ast it actually fits in the cowl, which it does, apparently (for some reason I thought the Yak you were talking about was different than this one, which came in at 22-3/4 pounds with lots o extra equipment), it should be a viable option.
