I responded to your PM. No, my first gasser was a BME Yak 54 and it was a dynamite airplane. Lost it to a poorly managed dead stick. I have just order another from Max and it will arrive tomorrow (7/3). I should have it done (with a brand new BME 50) in about 10 days. I really think that it will be my IMAC plane for the next year. On the other hand, that 330L really is a great looking airplane! I flew the AM Extra 260 again yesterday after moving the batteries forward and the performance was much, much better. Very smooth. Garrett - what would your reaction be to the plan for putting a G62 with magneto in the front of the AM 260? Personally I have had such great performance out of mine (w/ spring starter) I hate to take on the added battery maintenance, considerable higher cost for a trimmed down competition engine. A tad more weight but what a weight of my mind too. I have 100% proven confidence in the Zeonah engines. Looks like any addl' weight might be to some advantage after reading Gary's experience of tail heavy with the DA. I don't plan to impress anyone but myself. If others dig my gig - then fine. Thanks for your comments.
