Default Fueler jugs ?? Best value ??

I got a 1.5 gal. jug with an old pump, it's OK for my 50cc. Now I'm getting a 36% 100cc plane (w/ smoke)so I'm gonna need a couple bigger pump jugs.

What is the best for the money? I hate to spend $200 or $300 on a gas can.

Build one yourself. Get a pump for 40$, buy a "project box" from radioshack, a couple switches, and wire up your own. It will cost far less than buying one.

go to dreamworks.com

They have the pump there (greylor or greycor) If you search online sometimes you can find it slightly cheaper.

All you really need is a 3 way switch.

left is fuel
middle is off
right is defuel

or vice versa. You'll spend less than $100 if you do it yourself.

www.greylor.com make sure to buy the pump with viton seals as the regular seals won't handle gasoline.

I am all for building my own stuff and like to do it. I too balked at the cost of a good fueler can.

With what I do for a living, if I spent the time required to build my own with the cost of the parts it would "cost" me more money to make it. If my results would have been better than the ones I can buy, that would change the equasion. I have been happy with my Abel fuel can. The only thing I will change is the batteries used. The 5 cell NmH does not last very long.

I just built my own last week. I'll have to post some pics tomorrow. I've got far less than $100 in mine.

I picked up a Sig gas passer pump for $20 and a recoil fuel line at one of the local hobby stores, a 4x4" junction box at Lowes for $6, a piece of 22ga sheet metal, a couple dpst switches, some wiring, connectors from Menards, a tiedown strap from harbor freight, an inline fuse from Autozone, and a 9.6v RC car battery from Radio Shack. The 5 gal gas can I already had. I'd been using a H9 hand crank for the last couple seasons.

This thing works great!

Like I said, I'll post pics tomorrow when I get home from Roxana.

...had mine done in two evenings....about 2.5 hours total.

It's a snap to assemble.

...and a heck of a lot cheaper!

Good luck!!
