The 170 and 100 sized 55s will be a big success IMO.

The new 50cc and 100cc planes have not flown yet. There are several people that are getting them together but this will not take long as everything is done, just install you equipment. No gluing required at all. All control surfaces come pre-hinged with the 'B-Hempel' sytle pocket-hinging. Standard equipment include carbon wing/stab tube and a aluminum landing gear and tail wheel. I would suspect that there will be at least one plane flying by this weekend. The 50cc model is equally as cool! All construction on both models are light weight. We have an empty airframe weight of 15 pounds on the 100cc plane and 9.5 pounds on the 50cc plane. So, I am guessing the total flying weight will be pretty good and light!! The newest 150-170cc model will have addittional modifications over the smaller ones to help keep the airframe as light as possible. Carbon wing tubes and 'landing gear' will be standard on this model. Look out 2010!!!! The most awesome Yak 55M will be on the competition circuit soon!! Pricing will be very competitive and affordable!! (I promise) ![]() BH |
