Default first .40 size 3D kit plane.

I'm thinking of getting a 40 size 3D kit so i can put a O.S 46ax in it. I want this kit to be a quick, but easy build since i have never build a kit before . I don't want a profile!!!!!

have a look at the pilot EZ suduction wildstyle, it is a kit, all self jigging, and EXTREMELY light!!! i got mine from www.singahobby.com (cheapest place i could find) it flies very smoothely and is an absolute 3D monster!! like i said, check it out, its very light (even lighter than the profile i'm building that the moment with the same motor), i had a TT .46 pro and this thing would hover at 1/3 power and roket out of a hover!

If you could specify if you want a true kit or an arf i was just wondering ive had good luck with my phoenix models SU-31 with a magnum 70 flies really nice if its a true kit you want I would go with the suggestion that Chrisbchips said

i think we will have to agree to disagree on the profile debate Pit as that i feel profiles kind of cheat with all the side force the fuse give just like those cheater slabs on the showtime and the like call me a purist if you want but i think a full fuse just looks cleaner

i would agree that profiles cheap the laws of flight ,, but thats why there so much fun, and easy to fly, with the huge airfoil and flat fuse,,, but back on subject, a guy i fly with has the twist,,, i was thinking maybe a funtana 40 would fit your needs, any way, good luck and have fun!

funtana 40 flies like a brick. 40 size scale and 3d dont belong in the same sentence

I don't think there is much out there as far as full fuse kits. They all seam to be mainly arfs. The ez seduction series looks nice though. If you want an arf there are a lot more to pick from. I have never flown a profile and they have never appealed to me but I am consider building the chinn yakk this winter since I have never built a kit.

Tony, I know you said you don't want a profile, but I'm going to flat out say it- There are no .40 size kits that are easy to build and will 3D well on a .46 ---- Other than a profile. I understand they don't suit everyone's tastes as looks go. When I first saw one, I thought it was ugly too....and then I flew it. I see from your avatar that you fly bigger stuff, based on that fact, I believe you will be very dissappointed with any and all full fuse birds on the market today and the motor you suggested.

Gotta agree with matchess here. A full fused 40 size model will not even come within a football field of flying as good as a profile. THe only one I flew that sorta came close was the modeltech magic extra but it wasnt really much of a 3d machine compared to a profile.

I finished my Mojo about 3 weeks ago, now if I am going to the field for some mucking around I dont even bother putting my 2.6 comp arf yak in the car, the mojo does 3d just as good as the yak, but I can dork it without needing to take it home in a bag.

Get a good profile kit, they are strong, easy to build and 3d like a giant scale bird.
