ddude that looks really slick. I wonder if my 91 fx on a pipe would fly it well. its turning a 16x6 at 10500. Should be able to comfortably 3d. not crazy but nice.

I wouldnt want to put the G20 in this plane or anything that you want to fly 3d or any sort of aerobatics. If you look at the specs compaired to the Saito 125, it is about twice the weight and has way less power.

My friend just ordered one of these from my LHS, it looks pretty sweet and hopfully it flys good too. It will have a 125 going in it which will have plenty of get up.

sorry guys, had to go out of town, iam back so work will continue. pics to follow. man i will have to get a shot of the side view of the wings. way thinner than the f90 wing. will post pics tomarrow. i have decided to put the 120 4 stroke on it. i dont want to screw up the cowl with a cylinder sticking out of the side. better to cut the bottom.the wings look to be as thick as the 260 wing. that means flat spins, and better ke. cant wait to fly

this is very frustrating. look at the blind nuts for the motor mount . there is no doubler in the fire wall just little doughnuts where they put the blind nuts. it shure makes it harder to mount whatever motor you want. its made to mount what they want the plane to use. more pics to follow its almost ready to maiden. just to work out the motor problem. and cut the cowl and shes ready. the regular f90 wings will fit this plane. if you built a f90 , then this is the same. also look at the new fuel tank mount. its oval not round, and its bigger. nice touch to add the rubber band hold downs. i lined mine with vacuume lines from a auto. cut a slit down the entire line and it fits purfect, no glue needed, and tank fits snug. you can also see the brass inserts i added and the 1\4 20 nylon bolts.by the way the white stuff you see on the nylon bolts is tefflon tape so the bolts fit snug and wont back out.

I wish I could say I had mine already, but i have to sell off some of my stuff first. NO ROOM IN BASEMENT for any more planes!!!
When I do get the funtanaX, I have a new saito 125, Hitec 545,s a 645, and a 85mg for the throttle.
I'll be using a 6v system, so the 545s will put out 76oz. and the 645 will put out 133oz for the rudder.
First things I'm going to do is change the tailwheel.....I'll put a bracket with a spring a tiller instead of that crappy little wire that comes with the kit. I'm also going to change out the main gear bolts to the 1/4 nylon bolts just like Rede2Fly said

Hey Chikn,

I do the same thing with the nylon bolts for the gear. So if you engine dies you dont have to worry about the gear mount coming with the gear. My dad thought of that one a couple years back. Thank god for dads!

hey and a another thing, are the 76 ounce servos really enough power? I was going to get a funtana 90 and was struggling over that fact. But if people are useing them then I guess there alright. Do you guys use a reversed servo in the tail for the second elevator half? Thanks

Put each ele servo on its own channel.
That way you have complete individule sub trim for each ele-half.

It will work fine... but most guys like the ability to completely fine tune the elevators, like perfectly match the center, and both full up and down points.
By having each ele servo on its own channel you can do this.

There is nothing wrong with reversing the servo, but why do it if you have an available channel.
