That is done with a variable pitch prop. The manuever involves reversing the thrust.

Bill, it looks like you are also relieving aileron after about 90 degrees of rotation and refeeding it, as needed, in the last 180 degrees or so...I don't fly 50%ers, but my experience with 35% stuff and pretty much any plane with lots of control surface and throw is that the tumbles don't really happen if you hold too much aileron...it just kind of tightens up and looks more like an ugly snap?

After reviewing the video agian, I think you are correct. I believe after I hit the "full down" I neturlize the ailerons for the verticle tumble and get back into the ailerons near the top to continue the rotaton for the dowline. Very good observation. This video is getting old and so am I!!

Cactus Classic; probabbly not. I went out practicing the new sequence with my CompARF 3.3m Yak and had a Pefa canister blow the back out of it. Not a big deal but I didn't get to practice. Second issue is that the Van I use to haul my planes blew a head gasket and I have no way of moving planes right now. There is a jet rally I wanted to go to as well that I will miss also.
