| Bad-ass Super Contributer! ![]() | Hi guys, I am trying to learn this maneuver using AFPD but have not been successful I have a short video clip of the maneuver here http://www.flyinggiants.com/gallery/...1&limit=recent What's this maneuver called? I would appreciate it if I could get some tips on how to perform this maneuver. TIA ! ![]() Last edited by rcflyer : 02-04-2006 at 08:30 AM. |

| Bad-ass Super Contributer! ![]() | It's a tight harrier circle. Full up elevator (3D rates), a significant amount of right rudder, and work the throttle and opposite aileron to keep the wings level.

| Bad-ass Super Contributer! ![]() | Hi guys, thanks for all the quick replies! In AFPD, I tried entering the maneuver from a flatspin (in 3D rates), while managing the throttle and aileron. I increased the elevator throw to 60 deg (max) as well. The plane still wants to spiral downwards, and is quite snappy. Can someone make a video with G3 showing the stick work as well? This is a maneuver I hope FG's groundschool will cover |

| Gettin' Lower! ![]() | To me this looks more like just a plain old unright flat spin with decreased/reduced throttle to keep it from spinning up which is probably what that plane would do listening to the engine. If the plane spirals down, you have too much rudder. |

| GiantStyle Yapoleno Hucker! ![]() | In the vid, the plane is simply flying a harrier in a tight circle (looks good doing it too!)..... To do this, just fly a harrier and begin kicking in more rudder with counteracting aileron to balance it.... The more rudder (and counteracting ail) you add, the closer the maneuver will come to a true upright flatspin- usually takes an increase in throttle and sometimes an increase in elevator deflection.... In AFP, I find the Comp Arf Yak 55 and the various GS Extras do this maneuver pretty well.....
