I would like to ask if someone has tried the Yak with Evolution/MVVS 58 with a canister on this EF plane? What is the total weight, and how does it act while flying- Inv harriers, harriers, does those pounds added with this engine compared to DA harm the overall performance in slow manuvers? What servos and Power System would you recommend, currently i'm looking forward to buy 5x JR DS8717, will i need a powerbox for this plane, or it's just fine to go trough receiver with regulator? It will be my first 50 CC sized gasser, so i would not like to go wrong with this one.
Thanks!
Hiya Buddie. Ive got the MVVS 58 and 8711s all round with no power box and its amazing. Had over 100 flight with no worries. I still really love this plane. Theres alot of folks chewing the fat on the lightest set up being their only choice. The wing loading is so light on the Ef planes one can compromise a bit of it with out any negative effects. My cg is perfect on the middle with the 58 and was a bit tailward on my old da50 without the same power so im happy i changed to the 58cc. Heres a vid of it MVVS extreme- If ya like to spend alot of time in the hover dont go 50cc is my advise. http://www.flyinggiants.com/gallery/...99&ppuser=1157
After a year of wringing it out im real happy with how performs inverted harriers n knife edge loops etc. Go the Mvvs 58 route and dont listen to the lightweight obsessives.

I just buy one DA-50R + New MagicHand Yak 54 87" and I have some questions:
1. What is the better mix for the Break-in of the DA-50R (I'm using TBM 22X8 prop)?
2. What oil is the best for use during the Break-in?
3. How I do the mixtures of gas and Oil (For the Break-in and after the break-in for best performand)?
4. As much as time or What fuel quantity is considered for the break-in?
5. The break-in can be made flying?

Thanks in advance for any suggestion that can contribute,

Hi AFranchi -
Well DA recommends using the petroleum based Lawn Boy Ashless for a couple gallons. (Not a synthetic)
8 oz to gal is recommendation I believe - or was it 4 oz??. (this info is stated in the instruction sheet if recall correctly) NOTE DA has a support page on Flying Giants too if you would rather ask the guys themselves!!

Break in on the plane is fine.

Hey - you ought to plan on coming up to Tampa for the Triple Creek TC3D!??
Ya might win a great looking pilot or some other cool goodies!?
Triple Creek 3D Fly-In! TC3D! Tampa, June 21 & 22
Best of luck with your Magic Hand YAK 54!
