Supernova, my Tower .75 seems to be very good quality. When I first got it, it was machined to such a tight fit that I couldn't hardly turn it over. The tower line seems to be made from the same dies as the Supertigers from the 80's.(top of the line back then) I would definitely recommend it. I have the .75 and the .61 and they are both good motors. I've heard that the .46 isn't as good, but I have no personal experience with it.

Honestly I've only gotten to fly it twice. As I had told you I was in a rush to get it because I was about to move. I got it just in time to set the plane up and get out to the field with it once. It took awhile for my dad and I to get it running right that first day. We spent most of the time playing with it on the bench and we were still having some trouble getting it to idle properly. I ended up just flying it with a higher idle. I then made my move and have found a field to fly at again. I put one more flight on it but again had some trouble getting it to idle. This is my first four stroke so getting it tuned right is a little more difficult I am finding. However, once in the air it performs great.

Jason, go to the YS website and download the manual (if you havent already done so). The trick to those YS's is to get the regulator(large brass screw on the bottom of the engine) set properly. I think flush is a good starting point. Too much pressure and they will load up at idle, to little and they will starve and stall at idle.

Also, if you can, find someone at your field with YS experience and they can definitely move you through the learning process.

YS's are definitely the best four stroke engines (in my opinion) but they definitely have a different tuning process than a usual 2 stroke engines.

Also if you are having instable idle you might try a new plug. I can't recall how much time was on the one in it when I sent it to you.

Good luck! and happy flying!

BK
