I'll be using a Saito .72 to power it. Well, thanks in advance for any and all replies. If it helps any, my regular bird is the Wild Hare Edge 540T.
The hype 3D is the best 3D aircraft or the funtana 40.

I think a good profile would be the new Accel Katana V2. It's buit a lot better then the original Katana's another choice could be the new Funtana X, I would wait untill someone does a review on it to see how well it performs though.

I would vote for a CA Funky 40. Flies great with a .72 on it.

If you want a good looking .40 size 3D'r, try the Banshee .40 glow version with your Saito .72. It will work fine and look good. You can cut the built in cowl and add a small engine mount to avoid mounting the engine inverted. You will not be disappointed.

Sounds like you already got the Accel kat 40. But there seems to be some confusion on the Accel Kat versus the OMP V2 kats. The OMP V2 katanas (both 46 and 70 sizes) are two piece wings and WAY stronger and built better than the older kat 40 models. Plus the OMP V2 katanas just went on sale for $110. This is a two piece wing ARF with all the hardware. Pretty amazing deal.

In this size range, also don't forget abou tthe Kyosho Flip 3D...
This plane is INSANE!
Most stable 3D plane I have ever flown in that size range.
I looked like a pro when I had my Flip.

In fact I'm gonna order a new one today...

MAN I missed that plane!

I have a Twist 40 also. It was a great low wing trainer for me. Lord knows I've flown the crap out of it.
When I get back from California later ths month, I'll be ordering an Extreme Flight Edge 540. I've heard nothing but great reviews on that plane (correct me if I'm wrong).
I'll just use the radio stuff and engine from the Twist for the Edge.
I can't wait... a new toy

Well I swore I'd never have another glow plane, but I just bought a new Flip 3D...
I have a Satio .82 laying around... (Thanks MAX!!! ask him about my yak profile at the HUCKFEST... its a .. or IT WAS a great plane)

The flip hovers itself, and has soooooo much control surface authority...
GREAT plane. will fly at around 3 mph.... its ridicules.
